(January 02, 2008) The NORTHWEST GEORGIA SENIOR GOLFERS ASSOCIATION has added BARNSLEY GARDENS to its schedule of 14 tournaments for 2008. The schedule is complete but unofficial until Denny Abney sends the 2008 renewal information. Until then, however, you can at least block out the dates pending his official calendar. Click here to view the schedule. Jerry Ermlich is the Chattahoochee group director through 2009. The age range for eligibility for membership in the association is 50 or older. Contact Jerry if you are 50 or older and wish to play with this group in 2008 or want more information. (November 29, 2006) The CMGA membership voted 23 to 8 to remove any age and/or handicap requirements for playing different tee sets in CMGA events. This means that anyone can now play the tee set of his choice irrespective of his age and/or handicap. This rule change is effective immediately. Please remember when you sign up for the next game to specify the tee set you intend to play so the handicaps and course ratings differentials can be properly calculated beforehand.

(January 24, 2003)  The Georgia State Golf Association is offering a neat convenience with handicapping for members who have eMail available. Members (includes all our members having USGA handicap) can now receive their official handicap revision via eMail. The printable report will arrive at your computer shortly after the revision each 4 weeks and can be used as proof of your latest handicap. You will still be able to get a label at the pro shop. To sign up, send your name, eMail address, GHIN number (from your card)and home club to mloggins@gsga.org or call the handicap department at 770-955-4272, ext. 222.
